LEGO October 2026 releases: every new set, from the Executor to Christmas

October is when LEGO starts filling shelves for the holidays, and 2026 is no different. We count 21 sets going on sale this month. They cost from €12.99 for an ornament pack up to €749.99 for a Super Star Destroyer. Most arrive on 1 October. The four Avengers: Doomsday sets arrive on 4 October. Here is what's coming, which sets lead the month and where the best value is.

The biggest sets

The big release of the month is the Star Wars Executor Super Star Destroyer™ (75457). It has 6,130 pieces, costs €749.99 and is rated 18+. That works out to 12.2 cents per piece, which is reasonable for a licensed set this size, though it's still a lot of money. Next is Downton Abbey (21373) from LEGO Ideas, with 4,711 pieces for €299.99. It's the second-largest set of the month and one of the cheapest per piece, at 6.4 cents.

Rounding out the top end are the Iconic Trainer Moments Poké Ball (72154), with 2,386 pieces for €259.99, and the PlayStation™ set (72306), with 1,911 pieces for €159.99. Both are rated 18+.

For adults: Icons, Ideas and more

• Holiday House (11387), Icons: 1,354 pieces, €109.99, 18+.

• Darth Vader's LIGHTSABER™ (40897), Star Wars: 174 pieces, €29.99, 18+.

Keep an eye on Darth Vader's LIGHTSABER™. Current data puts its retirement at 31 December 2026, so it would be on sale for only about three months. At 17.2 cents per piece, it's also the most expensive set of the month by price per piece.

Avengers: Doomsday (4 October)

The Marvel wave arrives a few days later, on 4 October, with four sets. The largest is the New Avengers Tower (76352), with 954 pieces for €109.99, rated 12+. Next are Epic Battle (76348), with 846 pieces for €99.99, and the Quinjet (76347), with 433 pieces for €59.99, both rated 9+. The Heroes & Villain pack (40880) has 467 pieces and costs €39.99. These sets are mostly expensive per piece: the Quinjet works out to 13.9 cents.

Wednesday and Nevermore Academy

Wednesday fans have two options. Nevermore Academy (76788) has 890 pieces and costs €69.99, or 7.9 cents per piece. The Wednesday Backpack (76787) has 401 pieces and costs €39.99. Both make good gifts, for ages 10+ and 9+ respectively.

Christmas and up-scaled minifigures

Many of this month's releases are Christmas sets. A lot of them are good value and affordable as gifts.

• Up-Scaled Red Minifigure (40868): 930 pieces, €79.99, 10+.
• Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure (40875): 904 pieces, €59.99, 10+.
• Santa's Holiday Countdown (40874): 873 pieces, €59.99, 10+.
• Buddy the Elf (40865): 713 pieces, €39.99, 12+.
• Christmas Stocking (40958): 342 pieces, €34.99, 12+.
• Santa's Holiday Sleigh Adventure (40866): 187 pieces, €29.99, 9+.
• Holiday Ornament Selection 2 (40862): 179 pieces, €12.99, 6+. It's the cheapest set of the month and the only one for ages 6+.

Best value

Price per piece is only a rough guide, because large or printed parts and licensing fees affect it a lot. Still, it's a useful way to compare sets. These are October's cheapest sets per piece:

• Buddy the Elf (40865): 5.6 cents per piece.
• Downton Abbey (21373): 6.4 cents per piece.
• Up-Scaled Mrs. Claus Minifigure (40875): 6.6 cents per piece.
• Santa's Holiday Countdown (40874): 6.9 cents per piece.
• Holiday Ornament Selection 2 (40862): 7.3 cents per piece.

At the other end are Darth Vader's LIGHTSABER™ (17.2 cents), Santa's Holiday Sleigh Adventure (16.0) and the Avengers: Doomsday Quinjet (13.9). If price per piece matters most to you, Downton Abbey stands out: it's one of the biggest sets of the month and also one of the cheapest per piece.

How long will they be on sale?

The retirement dates known today can change, but they're a useful guide. Most of the holiday, Icons and Ideas sets and the Executor are expected to retire at the end of 2028. The Marvel, Wednesday, Pokémon and PlayStation sets are expected to retire at the end of 2027. The exception is Darth Vader's lightsaber, currently expected to retire on 31 December 2026.
